Sorry if you are ofended by me posting cats, all of which were legally taken in cage traps.

The last picture was taken in California, not here in WA also.

And you are wrong Cecil J on trapping rights here in WA. The same day hound hunting rights were taken so were the use of leghold traps by the same anti's that banned hound hunting. If showing off my ass is posting a picture of cats that were legally trapped in a cage trap, on a forum where trapping has and is discussed, then I apologize for offending you or any other Houndsman here.

Perhaps someday you will realize that houndsman and trappers are in the same boat and need to be united, not mad about a picture and divided because of how they chased a cat. Secondly there is a section on this HOUNDSMANS forum that is trapping, I never thought it was wrong to discuss or show trapping in a post about our biggest cat on a HOUNDSMANS forum. For that I apologize and remove the picture.

And for your last comment, what about a man showing off all his coon catch hanging on a shed? Or a man in Oregon showing off his 22 cats he got with hounds???? Is it just because I am a trapper and houndsman or are you mad that I can get cats still with traps?

leg holds were not in the same bill I-655 or the same year as the hounds. the leg hold were banned later. but agree 100% on sticking together as hunters wether you are trapper, grouse hunter, bow hunter, or whatever.A couple of years ago a private timber co in Kapowsin WA banned hound hunting. that decision was from a commitee of permit holding so called big game hunters. that is the worse that can happen, hunters of one group pulling that sh@t on another group of hunters. anyways, back to the bobcat trapping post.

I really enjoyed your tapping pictures. You cant please everyone all the time so why worry if one person gets offended. I wonder if people have any idea the time and effort plus the expense of running a line like you do. Its sure clear to me you dont do a halfazzed job at it.
The biggest bobcat i ever got was trapped. It was 48lbs. We nicknamed this cat Big Red. His feet were huge and all splade out. I kept his 2 front paws and showed em to all my freinds. He would have made a hole in the snow every bit as big as the average female lion but with small toes. This was one impressive bobcat. All our bobcats right around here are know as lynxcats. dgarrett

My mistake on the ban laws Mel. You are correct, trapping was in 2000, a fight I fought very hard. Had I lived here when the hound ban was up, I sure would have fought just as hard.

steeliekingfisher,
Thanks for posting the pix! I enjoy 'em all whether trapped or treed! The more time a person spends time in the woods, the more you learn and the better you know your quarry. And trapping just gives you more time in the woods.
