Ol Bill was walking down the hall when he ran into one of his new interns. He ask her if she would like to step into the oval office and look at the presidential clock, she said she would love to. They went inside and Bill shut the door behind them, he unzipped his pants and ask her what she thought. She says that sure doesn't look like a presidential clock, he says put two hands and a face on it and it will.

When this hippy or environmental movement started, I did not agree with a lot of it but what the heck they have the right to believe what they want. But here lies the problem they don't allow us to believe what we believe. They are forcing us to their way of belief. We should of never allowed them their rights because they are now talking ours away from us. What happen to live and let live. Dewey

X2, Dewey! And we compromise with them every time!!! We've let them lie, steal, and profit, and do nothing to hold them accountable!! Some have tried and it's covered up or just tabled and pushed aside.
We the People have to inform ourselves, Stand Up, and VOTE!!! Or Hunting will Die before your Puppy's do!!!

I believe if we ever get our rights to use hounds to hunt bear & cougar back in Oregon we will need the votes of both democrats & republicans. Can/t see how we can gain the support of voters by going on the internet and use derogatory remarks about all people who are registered democrats. When voting there are numerous things to consider about each person running for office & I do read the votes pamphlet. However it has been my experience that often once elected, both democrats & republicans , often do not keep their promises. Some folks wiser than I have have told me often public servants find it impossible to keep those promises. Do as you please , just my opinion. Al

Brad, I'm with ya......
Well stated Dewey!
I sometimes think our efforts are in vein with some of our youth hound hunters and low and behold I receive a phone call from a young hunter anxious to listen and learn....Renews my faith in fighting for our rights....Some of us old guys have lived during the good times and only want the same for all the rest of the hound hunting community....
This is not complicated. Like Jim stated, those of us that been at this for many decades have witnessed a decline in our personal freedoms and we are not about to continue to take this laying down, we live for our hounds, hunting and freedoms making this battle an all out civil war if necessary! You can either join us in support or leave!
Once you figure out who opposes you translates to where this thread has ended up with like minded folks who have had enough of the clowns supporting the anti agenda!
It is one thing when you are faced with opposition from outside interest but completely another when a member on this board spews nonsense for the antis!
The fox report with Blue...He reports, you decide!

Mike I just don/t see how my comment was taken as supporting the anti/s,I do not support the anti/s & I am not personally offended by the comments about the democrats. My thoughts are why take a chance of having democrat voters who may be on the fence read those comments and be offended. My best friend and long time ago hunter partner has become a republican and loves to give the democrats hell, I just listen & once in awhile, try to respectfully offer a different point of view.
It is not hard to find things to make fun of both parties has been going on forever. I don/t know what more i can say, never meant to offend anyone. Wish you the best. Al

Pulled it off Old dog!!!!!!! Thanks for saving my life!!!!!!! I did however have a near death experience evidently cuz i saw a beautiful world for awhile. There were no liberals,no democrat politicians in office, and Jesus was a straight man. We were hunting hounds year round, working our asses off (for good money) the USA was a power house that no one messed with,Subarus were outlawed, the loggers were found innocent for the spotted owls demise, you could call the grocery store and have them deliver food if you weren't able to go yourself, WAIT A MINUTE!!!! Dang you Old dog why did you save me?

I enjoy your perspective and will take the time to type this out so you can clearly get a feel for how our State system operates.
You are correct to a point....The Democrats are the majority in the House, Senate and Governor....What I have experienced is Democrats supporting Government.....Why? Because Government is comprised of the majority Democrat party....Here is my prediction for next February....ODFW is pushing for the first time, legislative proposals for Sport Hound hunters for cougar....Since State Government (ODFW) can't lobby(right!) You will see this have the best chance at passing over previous legislative sessions....How ironic this plays out in Salem...Senate Democrat Jackie Dingfelder (last name says it all, thank god she's gone) chaired the natural resource committee and was the champion at killing our passed legislation in the House by a vote of two thirds plus majority (Some Democrats broke rank with their party)then advancing our cougar legislation to the Senate floor where Jackie just sat on the legislation like an egg, killing the clock so no vote would happen...
Now watch what is currently happening in Salem (February will prove me right) ODFW has drafted a plan and it is sitting on the Governors desk for a signature....If Kitzhaber signs this proposal it will be the okay blessing for the Senate Democrats to follow suit like a bunch of sheep....They will cite the reason is because over populated cougars need to be controlled and State Government ( liberal ODFW) says so....How about this crap! The sunset of H.B. 2971 proved out in this same manner...Our hound legislation was killed while in the same breath, 100% or all 16 Senate Democrats voted in favor of 2390, the Government agent bill because ODFW lobbied for its passage and clearly supporting my claim....Liberals supporting liberals....The difference in the previous legislation? It was spawned by House Republicans and one Positive good guy (the minority for us) Brian Clem a District Representative Democrat that broke rank with his party (very rare but to be commended) in support of our hounds...Because it is supported by the same Governor that also appoints the Director of ODFW (another anti hunting liberal). You will see this have the best chance over any previous legislation...
It is very clear you and so many others have no clue how your District representative or District Senator votes or has voted previously, so long as they are Democrats you support them? Here is a suggestion, if you really support hounds and I know you do...Pull up bill tracker and look for yourself and you can connect the dots....I do this because of promises made are never kept by both parties as you clearly stated and only when you the voter, who these people are elected to represent holds the feet to the flames making them accountable, they simply act like DC politicians.
If you would do your home work? You would find you aren't much of a Democrat....Please don't be offended, both my folks are as yellow dog Democrat as you, they both claim to support hunting, guns rights and the American way of life but have a duty to vote the party of the so called working man?...This party abandoned you and my folks when JFK was assassinated.
Remember the man behind the words....Ask not what your Country can do for you , but what you can you do for your Country....Sound anything like todays Democrat?....The party of free Government stuff? I feel you can't have it both ways and one more reason I'm not a Democrat.
Thanks for reading and please take this for what it is worth...I value you on this board but clearly disagree with your party! As for that other punk, I think he isn't even a houndsmen....He is beyond reasoning!
Mike
