This breeding WILL be taking place.

Out of Aspen's first litter, my male has turend out to be outstanding. I cannot buy any of the other 4 back.

Aspen is my lead dog. She's treed me a lot of bear the last two years, alone and with company.
Renegade is a lead dog. Many have hunted with him.

Renegade is one hell of a dog. If your looking for a nice walker for all purpose especially for bear i wouldn't pass this cross up.

This is primarly a Beardog cross. Both these dogs are beardogs first and foremost. They are both nice coondogs as well. Both are as well tempermented and sound built as they come.

Beardogs first. Coondogs, showdogs, field trial dogs ect all comes secondary so we have something to do in the off season when we can't run bear.

Aspen got herself under another bear. This one wasn't so easy to keep up. But evertime he bailed she gave him a little something to remember her by. His backsides a little sore.

For those interested, I may also have some pups available soon out of Aspen's son Joker as well this year.

Hi Cassandra,

Are there any pups or young dogs out there out of that Renegade dog? Has he sired very many litters? If so, how are they doing? How are they built?

Renegade just turned 5 years old and has never been bred. Shorty does not own females, does not breed, or stud dogs, and doesn't deal with pups. He just keeps GOOD dogs. He's never stuck to one certain line, ect, other than just good bred Walkers, but at 82 years old, them man still knows dogs. He has always liked Aspen, and wanted a pup off her. Though he told me he's not in the shape to take on a pup, he would still like very much if I bred to Renegade.

Shorty sold out a few years back, was gonna get out. Then he brough Renegade home from a trip back east, and the rest is history. He's still out catching game. Quite a few people have hunted with him, he's a very nice dog. Shorty said he's one of the best.

They should be houndy, leggy dogs, 50-65lbs and 20-23" at the shoulder, would be my guess. Parents are very athletic dogs, bigger than I like, but you're not gonna find many faster.

I might be interested in a female. We'll see when the time comes.

I'll keep ya posted. I'm really looking forward to this cross. I had considered a few other dogs, and was even gonna have semen shipped in. But I found what I was looking for right here local, and it's been tested and proven.

I am wanting to keep another female as well. I wouldn't be breeding her again had I kept a female from the last litter, but those pups are now almost 2, and none of them can be bought.

Aspen produced some nice pups, and she's from an exceptional cross herself.

At this point its just speculation, but I've done the homework, just gotta sit back and see.

It's ALWAYS just that, speculation until you have at least one cross on the ground. Keep us posted.
