I took my pup out last night for a long "walk" in the woods....She's about 100 yards ahead of me, not 2 minutes in, and she lets out a loud ball.........I hear a few high pitched chops.......and then she's treed.....at this point about 150+ yards out.........and she is hammering away on this tree......Bawling her head off......
I finally make it to the tree......shine the light and see the eyes I was looking for.....waaaaaay up, just at the start of the canopy.........
I had to leash her to get her off the tree....
I think this kid's got a lot of tenacity in her for being just 5 months old........and I'm damn proud of her....

Yes sir, I did......She came from his Queen/Bear litter........This pup tried to rip the hide off a coon at barely 10 weeks.....she's fearless......
I would love to try her on bear next year.....

Great Stan!!
Sure looks like we're on the same page on hounding: "Take 'em out early and get every minute of hunting out of them." he he
- Looking forward to see how she develops.
Thanks for sharing,
