hey everyone i need some help, and ideas and pictures of your guys rig racks for ATV's. i am 16 now and got my lisinces so i will be able to hunt a lot more in the summer, and i dont want to have to drive my pickup all over the mountain when i can drive my ATV instead. it would be cheeper, and easier to get around in. i only need to rig 2or 3 dogs, beacause i only have 2. thanks everyone for the help.

I built my box for the back of my ATV and can carry up to six dogs, 2 on rig and 4 in the box. That being said my quad was designed to carry almost 500 pounds in the rear box.

Hope that helps.

It's not bad on the hills as long as you don't gun it. The shocks are set behind the rear axle so that helps alot.

This works pretty good for two dogs. You can stick three in there if needed. Just add more air holes for summer hunting. You don't have to worry about the dogs falling out - for sure.
I have seen several rig racks just from square tubing wire mesh. Might need to add a brace on your rear rack - they have been known to break with the added weight.

Heres a pic of something I threw together real quick this year. I need to make it with a removable top or something for lion hunting out in the snow. Worked awesome during bear season though. Also helped me keep a better eye on my trashy dogs lol.

BTicked,

I like the looks of the blues. Tell me about the one on the back of the ride.

Lol Max always steals the show, everyone loves him. I got him from Tim (liontracker) hes a Sugar Creek/Cameron cross that came from his SC female that passed (definitely missed). I hope to maybe get a pup from a similar cross. Max is probably my best all around dog, hes cold nosed, pretty quick, loud, good feet, gritty and the best handling dog I own. Hes a big boy 85-90lbs in the shape hes in there. The dog in front of him is full Cameron also from Tim. I saw that you have some very good looking dogs, I think its Chrome, the lighter one I like the best. About how big are they on average? Im a sucker for the big dogs but dont care that much my other two are small. Do you have any dogs hunting cats and bear or is it just hogs and coon that your dogs are hunting? Im assuming by the pics they are making pretty good bay dogs? Im sorry I just realized I kinda hijacked this thread but shoot me a pm or give me a call 505-730-7943 if you would like to bs some more. I love talking dogs and learning everything I can from others. Happy hunting!

Hey everyone I'm bringing this back to the top. Because I'm getting ready for bear season and I need to know how all you guys secure the rack to the atv

Here is my rig. I use it for my bird dogs as well. It also tilts and dumps for hauling other stuff. I secure it with U-bolts and straps.
