just wandering what the nature of thes hounds are like, looking at getting a couple when avalible.

ALL BUT ONE OF MY EIGHT THAT I HAVE HERE ARE LIGHTFOOT BRED IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER MY BROTHER HAS A COUPLE AND SO DOES MY DAD BRIAN CHORNEY SAY'S IT BEST I " GUESS BAD ASS HOUNDS FOR BAD ASS GAME". CHECK THEM OUT ON MY POST ON BEAR HUNTING OR GO TO UKC AND CHECK OUT BRIANS POST ON BIG GAME SECTION HE HAS BEEN TREEING LIONS ALL SEASON AND FOR YEARS WITH HIS. HE HAS LOT OF YOUNG HOUNDS THAT ARE DOING REAL WELL ON LIONS .LARRY

I have raised 3 from Dustin. All 3 made game catching hounds at young ages. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a registered english dog to run on big game.

Pretty hard to beet Larry's answer. The lightfoot dogs are the answer for me. They are a very tough hound that can handle rough game. They have a good nose and can really move a track.

I think it best to breed them down with some lab blood, most of the ones I have hunted with are borderline psycho. All they want to do is pull yer arm off and eat the door off the dog box. You can't even teach them basic obedience all they want to do is hunt. LOL

I was only joking Larry. There were a couple of crosses that Dustin tried to steer me away from as they were bigger and more hardcore than I could probably handle. I watched Brian at the trials try to "get their attention" and all seemed futile. I can honestly say that I believe that every lightfoot pup has the potential to be a superb dog. Have they all? No, but I believe they are consistantly the best line that I have ever been around. My only fear is that guys around here will be getting some.

thats fine i was just disagreeing with all three response's they can be hard headed but all mine will heal and hold still while you are putting there collars on i even let them go at night and they go to there own kennels in the garage and back out in the morning i agree that they have a stubborn streak at times and it is usually worse when they got sent in there nose. i admit some are not for the meek i can see that but my mind pretty good and i'm happy with them. and i don't plan on selling any of them anywhere near here on the northern east coast states . larry

I have to agree with you Larry. We finally(last week) got one broke off trash and she handles like a dream now, but she is dead Sorry. Thats what makes this a great place we live in, we don't have to run the same thing. I just know I would never get one. They sure are pretty though. I love the English dogs, I ran them for about 12 years.

if you had one at all where did you get it who was it out of and if your breed of choice is walker than you are still running english. i don't come on here argue and bash people or there choices of dogs if you you don't like the dogs thats fine i'm sure you seen some bad walkers also like yaak said they all don't make it in any breed . don't come and address me and start crap go back to the cage and post your crap leave me out of it. this to me is not a opinion just a smart ass comment trying to start crap like most of your post. if you have a opinion about the dogs give him it like i said leave me out . I have nothing or have had nothing to do with you. as for getting kicked off of UKC if you acted the same as you do here thats why you probably got kicked off , left or whatever don't blame it on me because i have lightfoot dogs. I told him my opinion and when somebody said they could not be taught simple obedience. i gave a response of disagreement i only know about the ones i have and gave no opinion on anyone else's if you got a cull i'm sorry for you it had nothing to do with me. i will ask you again to leave me out of it . it isn't what i come on here for .......
