April 9 - UKC RQE Bench Show & Nite Hunt
April 10 - UKC RQE Bench Show & Nite Hunt, UKC Field Trial & Water Race

Can't wait.
I think we should have a few new people at the events come this year. I had a few people at the event this weekend ask me about them, and a few say they'd be there.
On a side note the UKC dogs were well represented at the Open event this weekend, for those that were concerened otherwise.

Chawn & Tiny ~ I applaud you for their effort you made to NOT have any events on the 2nd Saturday of Jan, Mar, June or Sept, which are the CHC meeting dates!!
I was afraid that the Red Bluff/CHC Annual Dinner may be affected by the later date that we had to go with this year, but there's not going to be a problem.
The CHC Annual Dinner/Auction is going to be on May 22nd.
I'm looking forward to the new year as well!

The 9th and 10 april RQE and bench show feild trial water race on 10 looks asome if this hapens i will try round up 1 more ukc boy and come on down. CB has got the RQE 4/24/2010 but that dont mean nothing as long as it was like what you rote for 9th and 10 i coud see it drawing more ukc dog fokes in .thanks for the schedule .

Sounds like this should be a good year!
Better make it to the Walker Sectional make it the biggest one yet! Might be the last year for a while. Thinking about holding different breed sectionals in the coming years.

What was the reasoning behind canceling the April AKC event? As of last night I thought it was a go?

AFAIK it wasn't submitted before Feb 1. Hopefully I'm wrong, but nobody has given me any details or copies of paperwork??
May needs to be in before March 1.

Question on AKC events...
Can I show with a brand? I know I cannot show in conformation shows... Not sure on the bench..
I do have one that I haven't marked all up
But, I have more, if I can show with a brand

Melanie, I read thru the rulebook and don't see anything that specifically says you can't, but you may want to ask that on the AKC Coonhound board. Since these events are specifically for coonhounds it would seem like the brands wouldn't be a problem, but I honestly don't know for sure.
They've got some other interesting rules and dq's......like don't bother showing a lame dog (I'm assuming physically, not mentally) or a bluetick with light eyes. Both are dq's.
