I am looking for feedback on the quick track 5000+. How do you like it? Is it reliable?

I personally like the QTR 6000 better. Both are compact and easy to carry in the woods. I think the 6000 is way easier to use and has the tracking ability close to the Wildlife. I honestly hate using the QTR 5000+ but thats just one opinion.

I have to say that I tried the 5000 for 3 months and LOVED it so much that I bought one. I am good enough with it not only to find which way the dog is but high or low on a mountin. i like punching in the numbers and the fact that i have 18 presets makes it very quick to use.....no wildlife box has that ....and not picking on them they are great trackers. I have a dir Att. that folds behind and I can hook it to the truck or carry it all day in the woods. Hope this helped

I'm curious who has the best prices on both the qtr5000 and the qtr6000. I believe in spending my money wisely and want good service along with a good price. What is the best place by opinion?
Thanks,
Jim

the MT-8000 is far more superior then the QTR-5000. the MT-8000 will track any frequency known, and it has a built in AMP, and attenuator.
PM me and I can give you more information on the MT-8000

I like the 6000 better.Main reason is with the 5000 you need to program a collar in to track it.With the 6000 you just punch the number in and you're good to go.As far as ease in carring, they are both about the same.TO me the 6000 tracks just a bit better(comparable to the wildlife)

I have a mt-8000 and a quicktrack 5000 and like the 8000 much better. My buddy has the 6000 and it is a good box but just sort of big. The guy that builds the MT is in NC, 252-524-5391 he is real good to deal with. I have noticed a lot of people using the tracker maxima.
6000 all the way

on the wildlife 1000 boxes the volume and gain are the same nob that u use for tracking u turn it down as u get close, so how does the qtr 5000 work as the gain being ur anttenuater, and does it have a signal meter thanks
