Does any body have any info on this. Is it common. Can it come from dog food? Or a kenel? Treatments? Shit has turned like peanut butter lighter than usuall. A friend has told me to treat for coccidiosis. thanks

birds of all types can spread it... and chickens too.. It will stay in the ground for a long period..
if the dog is on concrete use a strong bleach solution after clean up.. on dirt... well be prepared to treat it every time you get a new pup.
Most Dog feed is cooked before it is extruded so that is most likely not the source.
you can sure pick it up putting a dog in a strange place... but the most likely is bird droppings...and birds can use the water and spread it that way.

Pretty common and some vets treat the dog for Parvo instead... $$$

Thanks D.B. what makes the shit turn tan or yellowish colored puding? When I fed tonight and cleaned the kennel the older dogs had regular dark shit and the younger ones had the lighter color. They all get the same feed and amount.

albon is what the vets sell you and is best... If you look at www.kvvet.com and look up albon and it is by prescription.... note the active ingredient then look that up and you can get it from them without the script.. believe it is sulfadimethoxine ---WHOLE LOT less expensive 9 times out of 10 when there is blood with the yellow stool in coccidosis there are hook worms present. the yellow stinking scours are caused by the protozoa that is causing the condition... and the corrid will work but it just comes in a Gallon here for $37.95... the Sulfadimethoxine will run about $16.95 for the injectable...
you be the judge.

So if there is no worms there should be no blood?
