$10.00 for the field trial and $20.00 for the bear race.
for the field trial we will split the dogs into four divisions by foot speed, and the money is divided evenly in the four divisions so that all dogs will have a even chance at winning there division.

There's lots of room for camping on the grounds, there will be people starting to show up mid week, the Elk creek fire dept. runs the food and there is water on the grounds,
I'll be there on Thursday, if you show up early there are 4 or 5 bass ponds on the grounds open to fishing.
From Willows on I-5 go West 28 miles on Hwy 162 to the only stop sign, go right North just over 7 miles take a left West on Hull rd 1.5 miles over the cattle gaurd the drive way on the right are the camp grounds
Hope to see you there

Being from washington this is quite the haul for a field trial but i went last year witha friend of mine and had a blast. There are more porta pottys then are needed and they are clean no waiting around for a cook shak to open they were cooking right about daylight eah day prices were fair and food was good Dale was available for any questions we had. and if you think you gotta hae a field trial dog to win i know in one of the finals it was won by a 9 or 10 year old dog and 2nd went to a dog under a year old. And if you your pot licker aint worth a damn just enter it and listen to the autioneer he will have you believing that your hauling #1. like i said it was a great time i didnt see any problems and hopefully will make it back this year.

The last time I went to Elk Creek, I was about 9 years old, so it's been a long while.
I'm not missing it this year. We're coming Friday night and camping. Should be a blast. I can't wiat. Might be a record year from what I'm hearing.

We go and campout every year. There is fresh water on grounds, Elk Creek Volunteer Fire Dept, has a food tent. There are always quite a few people. It's a blast. If you have kids you can bring fishing poles for them, theres a giant bass pond they let you fish in. It's just too bad Tom Wright doesn't do it anymore. He put a lot into it.

As far as I know the Bear race is Saturday evening. $20 entry and auction. $1000 final split into 1st Line & 1st Tree and 2nd Line & 2nd Tree.
$2000 split between the 4 divisions final ($500 per division), into 4 places (again 1st & 1st, 2nd & 2nd)
I can't wait. Just got the last of my crap done here. Leaving tomorrow evening after work!
See everyone there!

9 dogs out of 84 finnished it (Not sure where 81 came from, I watched the dogs get painted, and watched 82 and 83 get auctioned)
John Miller's Sam dog was the only dog to cross the stakes, and won the whole thing. He was about the 6th dog to come in.
Our Kelly dog was the second dog to come in, but she missed the stakes. Damn close. I was happy I wasn't one of the many out looking for dogs all night and the next!
IT WAS A BLAST!
Not sure if I'll do that one again for a while. I'm still tired.
