I'm sure this has been brought up on here already, but I have not seen it. I have a dc 30 collar that will not charge does it need a new battery or could it be another problem? thanks dave.

There are a few problems with the Chargers making connections.

#1 I would make sure there isn't dirt or grime in the connector
#2 Make sure the gold connections are clean.

Another thing, I notice that if I don't use the collar very much and try to charge it After I've only used it a couple hours it doesn't want to charge. So you may want to turn the collar on for a 1/2 day and let it drain down the battery if you didn't use it much since your last charge.

I rinse mine with water right before I connect the charger. Seems like they are easier to charge after they have run completely out of power. Its a little frustrating to say the least. They need a cover for the connection on the collar to keep the mud out of them. Does anyone have a problem with them going dead out of the blue. I have had two of them do it different times. The first time it happened my dog was in a snare and I had no signal on him. Luckily the rancher found him and gave me a call. Took two months to get him hunting again. Its a good idea to run a regular beep collar with them if you can. Lesson learned.

Thanks I got it to charge, the little gold peices didn't seem dirty but I took a nail and made them shine and that worked. Now on the same collar only one of the lights light up, not sure why that is anyone have any ideas? is it somthing I can fix or does it need to be sent in? Its not a big deal but if they both go out I won't know when the collar is on. Thanks Dave

Dave, one thing I have found is that if the collars are cold they won't charge either. I have to charge mine in the house in the winter. It works like a charm. If I bring them in and let them sit for 30 minutes they will light up quickly.

i fond a way to keep the charging port clean. put an bike inner tube over the port . just like the same way we keep the magnets the f/l collars . a little dielectrical grease helps too
