Hey guys, I'm pretty new to all this and was just wondering if anyone could give me any info on the kind of dogs Greg Anderson breeds? Don't mean to offend anyone, or ruffle any feathers just trying to see what anyone knows about the man or his dogs. Appreciate any feedback you might be able to give. Not looking for any badmouthing, just an honest evaluation. Thanks.

Greg passed away last fall. I haven't hunted around any of his hounds, but he caught alot of game so I'm sure he had some good ones

I am Greg Anderson's daughter and I rode next to him hunting bears since I could say "Dad, stop, I haffta pee".
For a long time my dad has his own line of Bluetic and Redtic dogs. There were always Plotts and Walkers around... But NEVER Black and Tans or Redbones. About 10 or so years ago we started to want something else. My dad started a dog hauling business and there we picked up a handful of the 4 breeds we ran. We got about 6 Walkers, 4 Redtics, 8 Bluetics, and 6 Plotts.
Of the pups we got we ran them all the same. Never played favorites...
1 Walker
2 Bluetics
0 Redtics
All but one Plott made our cut!
We are pure Plott right now, and I know my dad and I had no problem leaving the line of dogs that made HIM for these Plotts.
They will run lions just as good as the other breeds, Just ask Justin Hill who has a lot of our dogs and catches Lions and Bobcats with them all the time.
Who leaves a Porchse for a Station Wagon? No one correct?
These Plotts hold up better then the old blood, They have better feet then the old blood, They are smarter then the old blood, Flat out, If someone gave me a dog out of my dad's blood he ran for 20+ years, I would refuse to take it, drive down the road, and buy a Plott!
This does not mean the oldest dogs that helped make this line that are all dead was no good, trust me, Sky, Tracer, Bonita, Chance, They were like these Plotts in how they hunted and held up.
So Newby,
If you are interested in some of dad's dogs, I do have some for sale.

Newby,
Hey I've hunted around these plotts and they are the real deal. Like catman said Greg passed away in October of 2009 and he is GREATLY missed, the houndsman world suffered a great loss. If your looking for a dog that gets on the engine and runs down a track to catch they're good ones. The two most impressive things about these dogs is they're BRAIN/HEART and TOUGH FEET, they are completely amazing how tough footed they are. Greg took pride in having amazing bear dogs and great bear dogs is what he had ,and always did have. These little plotts are just neat. Justin Hill has a few of them that get it done man, he has a little dog named Jiggs that's a bloody bill X Curley or missery(not sure on the female) but this little dog will trail a bobcat in bad conditions as good as any I have ever seen. So if you have a chance to gather one up I would jump on it. I have one right now, amd I'm looking at getting another one. I have some of Gregs old line right now that goes back to bonita, chance, and a little of old sky, I have planned to cross Gregs plott stuff into the old blood.
Thanks
RZ

Guys thanks for the great responses. I was not aware that he had passed. My condolences to his family. I was actually unaware that he bred Plotts (guess that just shows how green I am)

Anyhow, I saw a dog for sale on the site here that was "Greg Anderson" bred and just wanted to get some input on what kind of dogs it came from. Thanks again for your input.
ZeluvaRIP69er I'll be sending you a PM shortly. Thanks again.

Jiggs is a Bloody Bill X Curley female.
Jiggs is a fantastic little female. She was my pick of the litter and I wish we would have kept her. She is one of the best lookin little Plott females I think could ever exist.

Thanks Richie,
I was just gonna say that same thing.
I picked Jiggs when we went there... I always told dad we should keep her, but we couldn't keep them all.
Jiggs isn't going anywhere. If I had her she would prolly be for sale for more then what Justin would ask for her, simply because I am quiet the B**** when it comes to selling the good ones.
Copper and Shuttah, they are not going ANYWHERE! Deeds, Socki, and Lonesome went to my best friend down here, just so I could stay close to them. I would love to keep Cielo, but we are broke right now, so if I can sell her, then it would be ok... If not, I get to keep her and be happy.
Sometimes it is worth selling a really great dog for really cheap if you know you get to see them whenever you want and still have a say in what goes on with them.

Hey Brotha Richie,
Can you ask Justin if he can find out when another cross that was the same as Dino and Bam will be made?
I had a littermate to Bam that was the real HighTan female, I named her Bumble-Bee. Dad sold her cuz he said and I qoute "No Black and tan is living at this house" LOL
I thought she was cute and that line of dogs was really nice. I'm sure Justin would like to have another Dino.
Let me know brotha.

Dino was out of my Bailey dog according to your dad. She was about to hop a plane to be bred by CodyII til last fri when he died, researching other options now.

Nikki,
I'm not sure when that cross will be made, but I have a full sister to dino (mouse) that Bill Kenross said I could breed to bloody bill. As soon as she comes in heat I will get her bred and you are more than welcome to a pup if you are able to keep one.

Cody II died?
Damn... That's awful.
Is Bailey a littermate to my Socki dog Cody? (NegraXCurley) I can't remember what she was... Maybe she wasn't even related to our dogs lol.
Richie, That sounds like a plan. I always have a place for dogs. I would like to get one and breed it to this Blood Trail dog Hunter's got. He is a really good dog.

Papers say Bill X Curley, are you implying that the dog was falsely papered?
