bobcat prices

Post by jasonrinebold »

Has anyone got any lines on bobcat prices yet?
In 2004 I sold streched and averaged 165.00 with 19 cats
In 2005 I sold streched and averaged 120.00 with 11 cats
Last year I sold whole on the cat and averaged 180.00 on 11 cats

So I'm really wondering how guys did last year on cats that they put up?

I averaged $125.00 put up. Are cats are not nearly as nice as you have. We have a lot of red backed cats with light spotting, but we sure have some big one's. Get a lot of cats pushing 40 pounds or better.

bobcats

Post by Dogger »

hey, we turned in 18 here in Utah and the cats 36"-40" sold for the most averaging 200-225. It was funny because the x-large cats sold for around 180 and the smalls sold for around 100. I guess they were just looking for a certain size. All of our cats were stretched the same and were super nice looking. If you figure something out I would like to know...

I sold 30 some cats early last year and they were all over 200.Streched 25 late and the price had droped a lot .The best offered was 185 for a big 46 inch tom super heavy.I still have around 20 in the freezer to strech for this year.I hope the price is up early I will sell a bunch.Still hunting bobby's is a lot better than looking for three days for a lion track.I can find six bobcat tracks in a morning run.

Ya I here that at 3+$ a gallon for gas the lions might get a brake I love a good bob race more anyway I just am wandering weather to put them up or not it seem like a no brainer were all averaging around the same and I felt like I did good on my green whole cats after I saw some fur prices later in the year. I may even gamble and freeze them all this year and put them up and sell early next year. Has anyone sent there stuff to the big fur auction in canada? Jerry Taylor is a pretty decant buyer he was buying my stuff last year. He would give me 25$ for beavers whole on the carcess and thats WAY better than 35 stretched. theres nothing worse than skinning beavers.

Talked to the fur buyer the other day and he told me Bobcat prices should hold the same as last year, everything else is way down
