Hay field lions

My dad called me one morning at around seven and said there was 2 coyotes in one of our hay fields and tells me to go try and get a shot at them. Well i never got a shot at the coyotes and started walking up the fence line to see if i could see them. I came across a track that i was just sure was a lion but i couldn't make myself beleive that there was a lion in my field of all places. Well i had to go to saint george that day with my youth group and when i got back me and my friend went down in a field bordering the one where the track was to smoke some foxes out of a pipe they live in. Anyways we were down there and my friend that is a houndsmen calls me and says he wants to come take a look at the track. i start walking back up the field to my house and all of the sudden my friend says LOOK AT THOSE LIONS! Sure enough two seven or eight month old lions were there not ten feet from me just staring. right then my friend calls and says he is at my house and i slur something about i found the lions to him and he came quick. When he got there the lions split up one running down the wash and the other one cutting across the field towards a road. He runs home and grabs some pups and tells us to meet him at the road where the lion was headed to. When we got there we couldn't find any tracks crossing the road so i cut back one fence line with my six month old pup and looked for tracks. when i found it i let my pup and she took the track very good but it was her first one and she just took it real slow and made sure she never lost it. she trailed it to a tree where it had clumb and i saw it was a small tom. then by that time my buddy made it back with his pups and then it jumped and we had it pinned against a fence in no time. the pups started baying it real nice and we wanted to get it over the fence, when he got it over it clumb under the truck! then it treed and we left it and went to chase the other one. When we treed that one which was a small female. it then jumped and my pup and another year old one went and it clumb right up on a wheel line. it walked to the bottom of the field and then jumped the fence and we let her go. it was a fun day in my back yard. we always go all over the hiills looking for them and this time they came to me.
