South Dakota Houndsmen

I went to one of the South Dakota Game and Fish meetings a few days ago and it sounds like they're thinking of allowing the use of hounds to hunt lions in the prairie units, but not in the Black Hills. If you South Dakota houndsmen let the Game and Fish commissioners know how you feel about it, it might just pass and it would be a good start in getting to use hounds in the Hills unit. They said that the reason they won't allow hounds right now is that there's so much private land checkerboarded in the hills that they don't want to deal with the problem of hounds and hound handlers trespassing. So call the game commisioners and urge them to allow hounds in the prairie units, at least it's a start.
