I am looking to get some pups and Ive heard alot about Cameron Blueticks being great on big game. I am from NC and we have bear and not Lions so I was just wondering how Cameron's are on bear. I just need some references on pups and what they normally turn out to do on bear. Thanks

I think the camerons are a little more big game minded anyway,Not saying they don't make good coondogs too though.

I have a couple here in Wv. I had 2 gyps one was ran over and killed late this winter while coon hunting. I still have one gyp and her pup. He was born on 12 Nov, so, I will be showing him bear very soon. His mom has a very good nose and is a power house tree dog. The Camerons I've had have been above average hounds.

Sorry, he is not for sale. As you know, these dogs are hard to come by and, I need to build up my kennel. I may try to have a litter of pups next year if everything works out alright. I will let you know if I do.

i've had three cameron's and two of them were awesome on bear, my old bandit dogs taught the rest of my dogs how to do it when he was only nine months old, that dog and my ol pepper dog together could catch just about any bear they turned loose on, not saying the other dogs didn't help, bandit was just hard headed enough he didn't care if that bear got a hold of him, and he loved to bite them. Bitsy, she's hell on bears, no stop, and all go, she loves to face bark them, but is smart enough that after a few hits she backs off just out of the bears reach. and my other is a puppy but i'm sure he will love the bears as much as the other two.
