It's made by Communications Specialist -- the same company that makes Quick Track's QTR- 6000M --Only difference is 216, 217 ,218, 219 on the R-400 and 216, 217, 218, 219, 220, 221 on the Quick Track.

The R-400G tracks 216, 217, 218, 219, 220.

The R-400 is advertised and sold as a Falconry tracking system and not sure if it is still the case, but used to be if you tried to buy one from a dealer and mentioned it would be used for dog tracking, they were not allowed to sell you one and tell you that you needed to go to Quick Track.

Guess the policy is still in place as Mike's has a warning on the site about ordering one.

Haven't used one but hunted with a guy with the Quick Track's QTR- 6000M and works fine...........Kinda like the Mazda B-Series and Ford Ranger truck, besides a couple small differences, the same truck.

Well UPS just droped my new R-400 off. Was going to go run some fox tonite and try it out but the wind started to pick up pretty good here. So I'll have to wait til tomorrow before I get to put it to the test

Went out to run some fox the other nite and try the R-400 out. Make along story short the box works great. deep bowls & thick brush some rock face good signal all night long. With tax and shiping it was $556.70 and 30 days money back trial then if you want you can trade in any old box working or not for $200.00 back that puts it at $356.70. Track any collar in the 216.-220. the only thing I don't like is you can't plug it in and run it of the truck battery just carry a extra 9volt with me
