Hi there, My name is Kelly from washington state and currently only own one hound dog, hes a 8 year old blue tick/walker cross that I have had all his life. My house dog is a walker/black lab cross if you want to count him. I belong to Olympic tree hound association based out of shelton washington and in fact just started a facebook page for our club of the same name, please check us out. I have been hunting hounds for about 12 years or so, and still love it. I dont get to get out as much as I use to with having 3 kids at home and no one to really hunt with. I use to hunt all the time when I was married, but we have been divorced almost 3 years and my boyfriend Brett doesnt like to hound hunt. I also am a avid hunter for elk, deer,bear and cougar. I also love to 4x4 my scout and my ford pickup. I hope to meet other hound hunters on here and learn more about this great sport that our state is trying to put the brakes on and make it nearly impossible to hunt at night.

LOL yea it sounds like that huh? I actually did talk him into the 12 day hunt for elk last year and he had a blast doing that, so Im slowly turning a city boy/biker guy into a redenck hunter.............or at least trying too

yep dump him and go huntin the kids will love it if you get them out enough and the whole family will be happier if they have a hobby in common. good luck and glad to see more women hunting.

I do take my kids occasionally but seeing as they are still quite young, they crash pretty early in the hunt and if Im by myself, I cant leave them in my truck alone. I have gone out a few times with my best friend and her husband this last season, while my boyfriend watchs my kids and that was a blast. I sure miss going every weekend tho!!!! And yes there are actually quite a few of us women that do hunt, hounds and big game for that matter that I hang out with, gotta love chicks with hunting rifles LOL

I live in western washington right out of shelton, and yes I am trying to turn him over to the dark side, I keep telling him theres cookies there

So what do you hunt over there and what kind of dogs do you run?

I hunt coon only, and right now I hunt my blue tick/walker cross, hes a good all around dog-only dog I need and only dog I have right now.

Yes we are having water races this summer, July 10 and 11 and the water race finals Aug 14 and 15, in Matlock-hope you can make it
