Randy & Tracie and Family here ......again......still......

We had lightning strike and fry our P.C. and then we went off on a family vacation, Hospital stay for the wife, and too short of a Bear Hunt only to come home to find a lot of things have changed in the On-Line Big Game and Coonhound community.

Ain't it funny how nothing ever stay's the same.....except Death and Taxes and we will always have a Mangy old 3 legged Plott thats meaner than a sideways Rattlesnake tied around here some place

Hey everybody,

Yeah we are still around we would (in a normal year) be on our way to Wisconsin today for Bear season that opens on the first of July... but due to un-forseen family health issues (my 97 yr young Grandmother) we have had to postpone that trip for a couple of weeks and may have to go up the latter part of running season this year instead of the first part.

And while we already have our Running permit's in hand Family comes first and it would be a small sacrifice to have to waste them should we need to.

But we still have a trip to North Carolina this December to Harvest a Big Old Coastal Blackie and hunt with our Good Friends from Tennesee and N.C. for a couple of weeks so all will not be lost at any rate.

All I have to hunt is a pack of young dogs that still are cyphering out what end of the Bear has the bite in it anyway.....at any rate it should be a real gong show.

Thanks for all your kind words.

Well Mike you know your always welcome and I don't give 2 hoot's where you and your dog go you know I will always be there to pick you up or help catch your dog......

JFYI....Dolly is due in the end of July according to Tracies Dog calender ...Boy was I way off on when I thought she was to come in.

Mst.Sgt Farley.....Bobcat season opens December 1st and as always our coon hunting pretty much comes to a complete halt once we can Harvest old Stubby and you are welcome any time for a coon hunt or to chase some feline's .....just bear in mind we cat Hunt in the Daytime as they are way to apt to bail after dark. But if you want to chase a ringtail mini-Bear just ask Old Bess I know where there might be one or 2 old crippled up ones my pups can usually tree so do not hesitate to make a trip up.

Do remember though we will be in North Carolina from Dec.10th thru the 22nd to hunt on a lease we are part of this year. There are 6 of us that bought this lease on some land where there has been NO hound hunting for quite some time and there are alot of Bear in the 400 to 500+ range from what I have been told and the land owner want's them harvested because there is getting to be more than the property can support and they are running off his Whitetail....(he is a big time Deer Hunter)....so it's one of those once in a lifetime deals because this is the only time the land owner will allow Hunting with hounds and either we thin out the bears or him and his Deer hunting buddies will so we all are going to try to tag up.
It means the loss of some prime Cat harvesting time but I feel it's well worth the trade.

Randy.
