Maine redbone rescue has done a beautiful job with some 2008 redbone calendars.
They are available here:

These are not hunting pictures, but they are redbones. The minimal profits go to redbone rescue, and the dogs featured are pets.

Maine redbone rescue does not adopt out to hunters, but they are not anti-hunting. The organization takes in culls, or homeless or abused dogs, neuters them, and finds pet homes for them. Although their politics may rankle with some, by purchasing a calendar you will not be giving money to anyone campaigning against your hunting rights, just a small facility that finds homes for unwanted dogs.

The calendars are beautiful, and some of you may want one or two in time for Christmas.

If they are not pro hunting, then they ARE anti hunting. Just by not offering hounds to hunters tells me all I need to know. These dogs are breed to hunt, not sit on the couch. If you could ask any hound what he'd rather do, it wouldn't be sent to be a couch potato. I think it is a crime not to let these dogs do what they are born and breed to do.
No calender on order here but you are more then welcome to show them this post.

pro or anti, she isn't using the money to stop anyone from hunting, which I wanted to make clear. She speaks to hunters, and gets some of her dogs from them. the dogs she places as pets are all culls--some because of mild, correctable physical issues that make them unsuitable for breeding stock (for example, cherry eye), most because they showed no promise as hunting dogs. Someone would have shot them if she hadn't taken them in, doctored them, and found pet homes for them. You may not think this is an important thing to do, but it is not harming you in any way.

The pictures on the calendars are all visible on the web page. If you don't like seeing the hounds doing what they are doing in those pix, don't buy a calendar. In particular, I think some people on this board might enjoy The Duke and Rosco calendar , which shows a pair of good looking pet redbones in the wilds of Texas, doing what untrained hounds do--splashing through water, investigating frogs, singing in a pickup truck.
