Hey there hot rod, I told you if you stepped out of your comfort zone good things would happen. The old man looks tired. Congratulations.

Hey Andy Hes doing good. He has a good mouth on him, and he runs right with the other dogs. He was right in the face of the lion with the rest of the dogs. My dogs first put the cat in a tree and I was under the mahogany getting the pups wound up and showing them the lion. The lion didnt like me there so he bailed. I watched the lion go out to the other side and jump up on the rock. The dogs were a little ways behind him because the growth in the bottom of the canyon, when they got there the lion was watching the dogs down below for a couple of minutes, the dogs kept circiling the rock and the pups figured it out with the big dogs right behind them. The old man in the back has slowed all my dogs down a little so they arent blowing past alot of the tracks. Im having fun with this and listening to the advise the "old man" gives me.

M Eversten -Thanks and Central

Hey Mister,
What "old man" are you talking about? the red and white one with long ears or the skinny long legged guy you got him from? I thought you were at work. Oh yeah, I forgot about the fancy new phone you are packing. Talk to you later.

This is their third lion. I had them on the ground at 4 months old. I was a little worried cause there is alot of hunters on here that say you can burn them out. I didnt expect much out of them this year. They have never stayed with me they have always went with the older dogs. I will be expecting more out of them come this year when it decides to cool down again.

I wouldn't worry to much about hounds getting "burn them out" I would guess your pups where loving every second in the woods.

It's good you kept them in a group with older dogs. At four months everything is play. The older dogs will teach them there's no fooling around with a big tom!

Get in touch if ya ever plan to do some hunting in AZ or NM
