Does anyone think its possible to see five lions together? I know just asking a question like that is asking for ribbing but my wife said she saw five together cross the road in her headlights. I called BS but she stuck to her guns!

Cecil Ralston has a picture of 4 or 5(cant remember which) adult size lions he caught in one tree. It was a female with her four 1-1 1/2 old young. Neat picture.

Marty and Jeff Greenwood, Kelly Dow and I caught caught 4 adult lions that were traveling together for at least 4-5 miles about five or six years ago. They were an adult female and her 1-2 year old female offspring and a 120-130 lbs tom.

It is possible. Likely a family group if it is what she saw and maybe a tom checking in on them.

I caught four in the same tree. About an 80 lbs female and three 75 to 80 lbs juveniles. It took quite a while to decide which one was the mother.

I am sure 5 traveling together is possible. Probably don't happen that often but possible.

have seen 4. adult male and female and 2 cubs they were jumped and treed off a deer kill.

Here's five together in two different cases. An adult female with four kittens and one adult female with yearling kittens.

It is possible. I have heard of a guy that witnessed 5 lions laying on the same rock together. I have never seen that many together, but I wouldn't be willing to go out on a limb and say never. I was on a hunt years ago that we caught 3 adult females together. It was a smooth mouthed female and two 2 year old female young. Maybe you better not let your wife see these responses. Good luck!

I hear tell of a Lion Trophy room where they all get togethar and swap stories, show off antlers, and argue over who killed the biggest buck, but that could just be internet talk.

About two weeks ago a couple guys came by my house to get me to chase six cougars together. But it did come out that when they seen them one of them was so drunk he called them monkeys.

If you ever get over to Cece's place again ask him about that photo of 3 toms I mean big toms all in the same big tree.

typical group travel most often there will be several off the main line of travel a bit and they sometimes criss cross and it is a nightmare for dogs. I would much rather strike one single lion alone than two or more becasue if they are not just punk kittens it usually ends up in a mess.

I caught a female with 4 juvinile kittens, maybe 9 months old or so. They would all go different ways and we would catch one, pull off, catch another, pull off, ect. We ran that family 2 weekends 2 years ago and then caught what I believe was a couple of those youngsters this last winter in the same place.

I found a spot this last winter that had at least 4 different adult cats living in 2 drainages. Only caught 1 of them but he was with 2 others till he split away trying to make an escape.There was also a 3 toed cat and poss. 1 more all right there. Plan to hunt there some more.
