I think we must have small ones in this area. I used to trap before Arizona lost its leg holds and biggest one I got was 26lbs. most were in the 18-22lbs range. Biggest one we ever got was one that was ripping the door off the chicken house. This was a regular door like one for a house. We thought it was going to be a mtn lion. Turned out to be a bobcat 34lbs my dad had it made into a rug.

42 pounds with hounds. If I can figure out how to scan the picture I will post one of a 54 pounder a freind of mine snared last year. We have quit a few big cats up here but they lack on color. We generally find a snuff can size track at least once a week.

39# haven't topped 40 yet.

A buddy of ours generally gets a few in the 40s every year, and a few years back they popped one 51/52 ish.

37# and he was a toad . He killed a forkhorn mule deer in it's bed drug it across a forest service road and cached it and covered it better than a lion would. Caught a few others that topped 30 a little but not much. In our area we classify our bobcats as Rocky Mountain lynx as they are a large chunky variety, and second only to Nevada in fur quality.I have a friend who has trapped and skinned several thousand cats. His heaviest ever tom was 41 pounds and biggest female went 29. He said most mature toms here weigh and average of 25 pounds and the females a bit less than 20.

My largest coon ever was 46 pounds and he was a lot meaner and tougher than any bobcat my dogs ever tangled with. Whew!

when i was doing predator control full time, i'd catch 45 to 65 bobs a season, trapping and running them with the hounds, big toms would go 35 to 40 pounds, most would be in 20 to 30 pound class

Here is a picture of a 43 pound bobcat taken around '95 or '96, which is probably as big a cat as I've ever caught. Anything over 30 lbs is a big cat around here.
