Do any of you hound hunters use any dog supplements for your older dogs? If so what is everyone using?

I've been giving my old female platinum performance for about a year now and it makes a big difference. It's a powder, I give her 1 scoop over her dog food and it seems to really help, she still runs hard.

Chad H Where do you buy the platinum performance? I might give it a try. If it works I"ll give some to my old dog too. I"ve been giving him canine red cell, glucosimine,ricebran oil, and a raw egg on his food every day.I think it is helping. I also believe keeping them old ones in shape year round is also important.

Hey Tom, I get it through my dad, but you can go to their website,www.platinumperformance.com, you can buy 10 pounds and so on, my dad buys 25 pounds so its a little less a pound then we split it. I sure have been pleased with the results.

We are giving our dogs Canine Red Cell. Seems to make a big difference when we are hunting every single day like we are.

There is a company called "Spring time" that makes supplements for horses and dogs. They have a joint formula for dogs that I have given to old dogs and I have seen good results.

I am currently trying ,The Missing Link Canine Formula Super Food Original Supplement.( They also make if with Glucosomine) You can pick it up at any petco, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of powder per 20 lbs on dog food. Let see how it works on my 12 old bitch,also started feeding it to my 6 yr old.
