I have a winchester model 1300 with the rifled barrel and I put weaver mounts on it . The bases stay and the rings come off with the scope . You can change barrels and when you return to the rifled barrel the scope will mount with no issues of accuracy.
Many people use these mounts on their centrefire rifles also . You can remove the scope and use open sites and then put the scope back on when you want a scoped rifle ..
The bases are cheap... The rings will cost about 50.00

Any time you turn a screw to release pressure on a scope mount or base you will have to re- sight the optical equiptment to the rifle bore when you switch back. The only option you might have is if the scope itself was mounted to the rmoved barrel rather than the solid action.

We did to use some Griffon and Howe quick release mounts on some rifles as those used in Africa. However even with the slight change in camming action we found that it was necessary to re sight the rifle to enjoy precise shooting at long range targets such as plains game.

It is a wonderful thing to try to use one weapon for all outdoor aspects. However it is much more conservative and wiser it seems to choose the best tool for the occasion. If that means removing a scope, resighting, or using a different weapon that should be taken in stride as an outdoorsman. Look at you game the intended target, and then owe them the respect of a clean effectual kill.

Enjoy!
