A few years ago, I had a hunter from back East. He came in January, frozen ground in the mornings and lots of mud in the afternoon....so I was hitting the same roads everyday, just hoping to find a track to run. On the third day we crossed a cattle guard that we had crossed the previous two days but this time the hunter looked right at me and being very serious, ask me if that thing we had just ran over, was there to clean the mud off our tires?
