Will neutering around 6 months old limit muscle/bone development in a hound? I know it doesn't take away what God gave him to hunt with but should I wait til he's fully developed?

No it will not. It will, however, remedy a lot of those nasty male dog pig habits. It will also make him more enjoable to be around with other dogs if he has a little too much attitude.

IT will effect his legs He will possibly get longer legs. Don't put up with aggression but wait until he is 8 t0 12 months old. I have seen it happen in dogs, mules and colts. The leg can get out of proportion to his body. Dewey

Why not? There are some things to take in consideration as stated above but if you never plan on breeding him then why not? Think of the food you will save as well as the nasty vulgar behavior you won’t have to deal with.

I have to cut him cuz I sprung him from the joint when he was 8 weeks old. They want it done as soon as possible. I didn't think it would make any difference but I've never had to cut a dog and couldn't find any definite info on when is the better time to do it with something you intent to use.
