RZ's bear of the year

A great day of hunting with some great friends. I got the chance to go help one of my buddy's get his dad a bear today, I've caught A LOT of bears this year and this was the best one. My buddy's dad drew a tag this year and figured because of age and some health problems he might not get a chance to go again not to mention our fall season in utah ends thursday. We drove to a spot where some people had been seeing a bear and got a rig right off the bat, so we shipped the dogs and within an hour we were looking at a boar in the tree(860 yards from the truck), we looked it over for an hour or so and finally decided to harvest the bear. What makes this such a great hunt is the man that killed the bear will calebrate his 82nd birthday tomorrow, he had a heart attack and had to have 3 stints put in only 2 months ago and made it to the tree just fine(boy those old timers are tough). With just one shot the bear was grave yard dead and didn't move a muscle, he was very happy and I'm sure none of us will ever forget it, esspecially his son. I don't say much on here but I thought I would share that with you all, heck its not every day you see a 82 year old man kill a bear esspecially in the rough mountains we hunt.
