What non GPS system and collars does everyone feel is best and has the farthest range. The Marshall I've looked at is definetely the priciest, just wondering if it's quality is in proportion to it's cost?

trx 64 or a blue box (wildlife) and Johnson collars

They do work great but cost a ton, for the money I love my quick track 6000 on a quick shot. It works better for me then any other I have used or seen used. I have used most out there and would rather used the 6000 then any other. As for collars I really love my older quick track collars but dont like the new ones as much, the collars from west coast are right at the top.

I'm partial to ATS with Klein collars.

i have just recently bought marshall lighted collars to replace my old wildlife collars and they are well worth the money and the lights can be seen a long ways away good for when the dogs are close to the road

I am very pleased with my Marshall system. Pricey, but top of the line performance.

Does anyone use the quick track 10. Does it have the same range as the other models?

I barely use a telemtry system anymore, but I still got one as back up. I've got johnsons and Marshall collars, and the marshalls get better range. They seem to get better range than the others I've hunted with/around (kleins, magnum, wildlife, quicks, rats, west coats). They do come with a bigger price tag, so usually only the better ones got them on.

I've got a tracker maxima 5000, not as good of range as a blue box but much handier to have. If the dogs get way out, I just hook up the normal yagi and then it seems to be comparable to a blue box. Never tried a marshall tracking system or a quick box.

Got no clue on mountains and signal bounce, but that is what has worked for me in WI. With that said, I've probably only used it a dozen times this year since using the garmin.

I have never used a Marshall box but just replaced all my Quick track collars with Marshall collars.

I like Marshall or Quick track collars but with Marshall you dont have to send back to have the batteries changed. that was the big reason for my change.

I have the 10. box scanner bos and the one that tracks them all (quicktrack) I would not recomend the scanner but the 10 and the 6000 are about the same.

I think most of the range comes from the collar not the tracking box.

i use the trx 1000 blue box and a tracker maxima 5000 and get the same range out of both in the mountains here, however the yagi hooked up on the maxima makes it easier and faster to get a direction on the dogs than the small antenna on the maxima and the blue box is a pain to carry in the woods but great at the truck
