The 2011 NEPH hunt will be having a seminar given by Gerry Lavigne former Maine deer biologist and a representative of the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine

Thanks to NEPH member Mark Drew of Mountain Shadows Hunting, Gerry Lavigne, has graciously accepted an invitation and will be attending the hunt on Friday the 21st. Mark will be taking Gerry hunting then back to camp in the afternoon to hang out and meet everyone. We will have dinner around 4pm and after that Gerry will show a coyote hunting video and deliver a seminar on coyote hunting. Gerry has been in contact with the new Director of SAM Tim Bell and will fill us in on him as well. Don’t miss this opportunity.

There are still a few openings for the hunt and I encourage anyone wanting to go to get hold of Paul and get him a small deposit to hold your spot. We expect more bait hunters this year then last so let Paul know so he can plan on how much bait he will need.

I have been trying to get someone with hounds to come up but no one will commit yet. We have a bunch of callers and bait hunters comming and a friend of mine that likes to run cats wants to wait to see what the conditions are before he goes. Makes sense I guess. If you know of anyone on here that may be interested or not on here. The more we have the more we learn.

Paul NEEDS everyone that wants a bait to sign up before the 8th. Trails need to be made, bait needs to be picked up, and you are going to want the sites baited several times before you hunt them.

Anyone not wanting a bait (there is plenty room for calling or running hounds) just get Paul a small payment to hold your bed. Main lodge is filling up or has filled up and there are a couple other smaller camps. I think there may be a sled or two left also.

ONLY A FEW WEEKS AWAY!!!!

BAITS ARE FULL!!!! There is still a bed or two left for anyone wanting to come up and do some calling or run dogs. There are plenty of dogs to go around and tons of area open to calling. Get hold of Paul and set it up!!! Going to be a BLAST!!!
