anyone know of anyone breeding dogs with the makeup of 1/4 plott, 1/4 running dog and 1/2 tree walker?

I bred my full Plott with my full Walker bitch.
Walker bitch was red headed, black saddle back.
Plott was Black Brindle.

I made (bred) this cross twice. I only kept 2 pups from each litter.
all the pups were brindle and white in color.
I guess you can count on the "Brindle" being the dominate color over the brown.
All the pups, (4) were outstanding tree dogs with blazing speed just like their parents.

Some things you must understand, don`t worry about color. Breeding for color is the easiest thing to do. Just having a beautiful saddle back dog, is just line breeding for color.

If you are wanting something special that you don`t see already in your dogs?
Forget about trying to make something out of these crossbreeds.

There is so many outstanding studs dogs around of your same breed.
Just do the research and find a stud dog with the exact same traits as the dog you have.
Does not matter if you have male or female, try to reproduce dogs better than you have by reaching out and paying for the best bloodlines you can find.

You will be happy you did. Why spend 1 year raising pups only to find out you could have bought a well bred pup out of the best foundation stock.

I was always trying to make a better dog, but if someone had an outstanding dog, I wanted it.
25 years ago;
I once drove 3000 miles to get a Plott from Leroy Hawg.
I also drove 2000 miles to get a Walker dog from Weldon Hopman.

Now these men had some dog power and I was very happy to put some in my kennel.

I have heard of some ole boys back this way that breed plotts and running dogs together. I'm sure they do it to put some stay at the bay into the running dogs though or at least a better style of bay into their coyote dogs. Better bay style in combo with a running dogs way at a catch might could lend to better kill dogs in the end also I'd assume.

All of my dogs were from Calif. so I had no choice but breed to my Plott.
To much linebreeding, only makes for smaller dogs when you have only smaller dogs.

I would have like to loaded her up (Hooker Dog) and took her to Calif. for some more of the same bloodlines.

But after living in Idaho for several years, I was out of touch with the good running dogs in Calif. I did have several folks come up to salmon to hunt with me.

My Hooker Dog was not in heat. Sure wanted to carry on her bloodlines.

i have a pair of half walker half plott 2 years old one solid brindle and one brindle saddle back leggy fast outstanding tree and bay dogs with great stamina
