Has any one used a trail cam to help ?

My brother knew he was two hrs behind this lion and which way it was going because of his trail cam. There were tracks going both directions. This is the second lion his trail cam has helped him catch. Has this worked for anyone else?

I set up on an area a big cat was scratching all the time, there was over 20 scratches in a 20 yard area, an area I had run him from before but couldnt catch him (keeps going down this one nasty cliff)
Figured it'd be cool to catch a pic of him doing his thing and later getting one in a tree.
Went back to check it and somebody had cut the lock with an axe
I still shake my head, the odds of somebody else going 'there' were slim to none I figured.
Pretty sure it was a chinaman out picking salal...
