My wife and I haven't been able to hunt much this winter. Been working. This is the first lion we have been able to catch. We caught her in Second Water on the Manti unit in Utah.

The dogs did a great job. We got to sit in the truck until the dogs had her treed but then it was a VERY steep climb to the tree. Took a few pics and let her go.

Great Day!!!

The cat is in the center of this tree but if you look into the background you can see just how high of an altitude we were at!

Congrats Leroy! 8) That hill is a steep sucker aint it? That oak brush up there will darn near rip the panties off a guys butt! I wonder if that was the one Ive heard calling when I was camping in there? Kinda cool to think so, made the wife all spooky and sleepless when the calls were going on at 2am, But I got all excited and thought Dang what a primal bone chilling sound but beautiful at the same time, I wanted to go find me a cave and start carving a spear  Im gonna show her the pic and tell her that its ok to camp there again cause Leroy shot that cat, just wont mention that it was with a camera Take Care Ken

Dan Jiggs is out of Mike Leonards Jigg dog and a female that came from Val Robb. A little of every thing I think.
