Did anybody find it just google it there is a story and photos, wish someone would post it on here.

I may be putting my foot in my mouth, since I didn't go to the photo that you said. There has been a series of pictures of a mule thrashing a mountain lion that has been circulating around the web for several years now. The lion was already dead before the mule attacked it. The mule is owned by a guy that lives around Cuchuillo, NM. With all of that, the pictures are still impressive though.

A couple from Montana were out riding on the range, he with his rifle and she (fortunately) with her camera. Their dogs always followed them, but on this occasion a Mountain Lion decided that he wanted to stalk the dogs (you'll see the dogs in the background watching). Very, very bad decision...

The hunter got off the mule with his rifle and decided to shoot in the air to scare away the lion, but before he could get off a shot the lion charged in and decided he wanted a piece of those dogs. With that, the mule took off and decided he wanted a piece of that lion. That's when all hell broke loose... for the lion.

As the lion approached the dogs the mule snatched him up by the tail and started whirling him around. Banging its head on the ground on every pass. Then he dropped it, stomped on it and held it to the ground by the throat. The mule then got down on his knees and bit the thing all over a couple of dozen times to make sure it was dead, than whipped it into the air again, walked back over to the couple (that were stunned in silence) and stood there ready to continue his ride... as if nothing had just happened.

Fortunately even though the hunter didn't get off a shot, his wife got off these 4...

I don't know the guy that actually took the pictures but I remember the first time I saw them. It was a couple years ago and while reading the story I noticed the hounds in back ground wearing tracking collars. Now those must be some real culls if they are going to sit on their asses while a mule kills a lion. Something doesn't add up.

I'm gonna have to call bullshit on this story and agree with George. I think if them were my two hounds there's where my 2 shots would have went.

THE LION WAS ALREADY DEAD!!!! These are the pictures that I was referring to. The guy lives on the east end of the Black Range of New Mexico. Brett or Bency, what's the guy's name? My son-in-law will be here this afternoon, and knows the guy. GOOD GRIEF! How many times will this story go around, gaining more BS each time?

No, we shot the mineshaft lion scenes in a studio.
