with my clients tag filled 2 days early, I decided to go have some fun. my goo pal Kenny came up and we headed out. I found a lion track and we dumped on it. it was in great snow, but had been rained on. my dogs had a hard time with it all the way until it was jumped fresh. they treed after about an hour and we hiked in. nice lookin mature female, took a couple pics and peeled "dora the explora" out of the tree and got back to the truck bout noon. built a big fire and ate lunch, and we were gona head home. I told kenny lets go for a double we got nothing to rush home for. Bout 2 o clock I had a nice fresh one cut and it was on again! the cat ran about 500 yards in the snow and right into the bare ground. I wasn't real confident that we would catch it because it had been and still was sprinkleing rain. 2 miles of bare ground later we had a cat in a tree. I guess I need to have more faith in my dogs. it was another very healthy female and it's good to know there are two left to run another day out there.

My wife and I had a baby December 1st. I've been working with some younger blueticks and caught a few coon. I haven't made an attempt for cats although I cut some day old tracks last week cooning.

It was my third son. My first son is getting ready to take hunters safety and is thinking of getting his own male pup.
