Well spent all day trying to find a coyote track on sunday. Gave up around 430 we had some snow at five in the morning so tough tracking. Was just about to feed the dogs and my friend called and said he had just shot at a big coyote in his field but missed. Well thats all I had to hear and I was headed his way. Took my two young dogs that have been doing really well all season and they hit the track screaming. They pounded it into a big swamp and after an hour of some killer music they ran him down in a field and my friend on his sled finished it off.

Thanks they have been doing a good job. Though not as good as you have been doing lol. Nice five dog weekend NY. My little female the black and white one is the real reason ive been doing so well. She is a cold trailing, track driving machine. She is Heavy Nailor and Sacket jr breed. Shes treed me a ton of coon this fall. I didnt want to run her on coyote but she just does so well I cant help myself. Keep up the good work. We are getting pounded with snow here could get thirty more inches.

My female in the pic is 19 months old. She is athletically built and has a great nose for cold trailing. Once she has her game jumped she would rather die than let it escape. My male is 13 months old. I had him shipped in from louisiana. He is out of that world champion cross of xjr and insane jane. And a female out of Whipout Zack. He has the loudest bawl mouth I have ever heard. He doesnt have the cold trailing thing down yet but once its jumped he is really nice to have backing my female up. I have had a bunch of both running and treeing walkers and julys but i have come to really like the athletic built treeing walkers. They seem to have all the traits you need to catch game in one dog. Really cold noses but the speed and grit to catch what they are running. And when the guns go off it just makes them more fired up. But all said and done i really just live to hear the sound of the chase. No matter who is making the noise. Good luck Rik

Those nailor dogs usually have big mouths. What part of NY you in? We finally had a weekend that the coyotes would actually run. Dont need deeper snow.

Im east of saratoga close to the vermont line. How much snow are you going to get out your way. We could get two more feet. Ya we dont need any more either. We have six fresh inches so far with way more coming. The dogs need a couple days to heal up from that crust anyway.

I am on the south east end of Lake Ontario. Suppose to get up tp 2 feet.

NYCOYOTEHOUNDS I told you on another post I liked the looks of your running dogs and the stories about the hunts,like the Yote under the guys porch, but you can keep all the white stuff. Last week I had the opportunity to visit you folks back East but Miami and San Juan just didn't offer the white stuff

headed out after dinner to chase some yotes. We got about ten new inches total. If there moving they shouldnt be to hard to catch. Famous last words. Hope I will have some good pics to post.

How we do Ricky? I dont mind the snow cooter, but it is getting deep. Runs are not lasting.

good got two more nice males. One out in front, one nice bay up under a brush pile. Putting the pictures up shortly. Just the two young dogs again. Boy did it get crazy under that brush pile. The coyote made out the worst but not by a lot. LOL oh well maybe next time they wont get SO close.
