Two more big males bite the dust

Well the day started out like it was going to be a rough one. lost my back tire hitting a pot hole and the lugs and studs snapped off. So I had to leave my truck right there and loaded the dogs in my buddys truck and off we went again. Shot the first one fast in front of the dogs game over. Found another track and dropped the dogs again. Well this big male did not want to die. We ran him through swamps, into town, through restraunt parking lots. Back down in the swamp down a creek. Back into town. Had to trail him myself in waist deep snow for an hour without the dogs because of the town. Finally we could turn the pups out again and they caught him in a brush pile an hour later. I couldnt get any bay up picks because the dogs were so far in the brush pile we had to dig a hole to get in to kill the coyote. Man I will tell ya what the coyote lost but not by much. The two pups got chewed up pretty good. If you look at the picture of the red colored coyote you will see his front leg is worn down to the meat. We ran this coyote last week when the crust was on and he won after about seven hours. At least he didnt win today. Good luck. Rik
