Ringo baying at the cat
Chief is the dog right above the cat baying.
This female jumped out of the tree just as we were getting there and ran up the hill and made a loop and came back by us at about 15 yards with the dogs right behind her.She decided to bay up against a dead fall instead of treeing.We had my Ringo dog and Denver who is owned by Shawn Wengerd.Nick Riley had three dogs one was Ringo and Denvers mom and two of thier litter mates.I had my 5 month old pup in the truck so after the other dogs got to where we could barely hear them I let him out of the truck I was going to let him walk into the tree with us but when I got back around the truck I couldnt find him.Pretty soon I heard him opening going down the hill on the track. He got hung up at the creek so I put a tracking collar on him and led him through the creek.He hit the track on the other side and took off he was opening on the track.The next time I saw him he was right behind the other dogs after the lion jumped barking about every breath.When the lion bayed he stayed back about 4 feet and made sure everybody knew he thought he was a lion dog to.None of the dogs got hurt real bad just a few puncture wounds.
