Just wondering how long the batterys in the tri tronics collars have lasted for you guys?

My trash breaker g2 has lost all of its range. It will only work within 20 feet of the collars.

I bought a new classic 70 remote and the range now is only 300 yards or so. Do you guys think I need new batterys in the collars or that range is all I can expect?

I'm going through the same problem. I changed out one of the batteries in the receiver and it didnt make much difference. I just ordered a new battery for the transmitter; I'll let you know.

The current set of batteries are right at 2 years old.

One of my good friends got a new classic 70 g-3.. about 300 yards was the extent of it from the start.

I have an old trashbreaker ultra ( the one with the square plate on the back of the receiver... the batteries lasted 9 years BUT the charger had a "continuous" charge setting on it.. after seeing 2 of those Classic 70 's One a g2 and the other a G-3, I decided to keep the old one.. just put the new batteries in it...it WILL get out over a mile!
My nephew bought a trashbreaker g3 and it has good range but you got to make dang sure the points make contact before you turn the hound loose.

the new one my neighbor has does not have the continuous charge setting and in 2 years the batteries were dead.

on the Trashbreaker G2 .. you can replace the batteries yourself...in both the collar and the receiver.
go to the Collar Clinic web site... If that does not fix it they will allow that on the repair of the collar.

You can find batteries for them other places for less $$ but once you buy them they are yours

I now have over $1300 into my tri tronics and still have not been able to get more than 300 yards out of it WTF.
Do you guys think tri tronics is the way to go or should I start over with a different brand?
I hate to send it in and spend more money on it. The system is off warranty now.

I've had good luck with the G2 for four years. Just the other day I lost all collars. I stopped by the factory yesterday. They had it fixed in two hours and ready to pick up. They also replaced all batteries and some had broke the collar loops that they replaced. Very nice people and great service!

Do they only do this on their current models? I was just wondering because I've got a 6-dog trashbreaker set and every one of them has broken collar loops.
