a couple of caught shorttail had a long cold track on a coyote and they came out with a cat the following day, the hounds caught 2 coyotes and I shot at a kickout which I thought I hit. Latter in the day after the other 2 coyotes, I released a couple hounds on the one I thought I hit(no blood) when I thought they were caught I walked in to find a cat in the tree. Had a lot of fun anyways

Well if you cant get that dog to quit trashin out on bobs and just cant take walking into cat trees anymore then im sure you will not have a problem gitting rid of that dog lol. Very first time i have ever heard of someone sayin that thier dog was trashin on cats hahahaha. Thats just crazy to me that bobcats are trash to you. To each his own i guess. Well id wish you luck with this problem but i just aint got it in me when a dogs catchin bobs. Sorry

I'll take a cat over unwanted fur bearing critters anyday but the one coyote they worked on for hours to get it jumped, (crossed the road several times and I wasn't sure what side of the road it was on) I was kind of pissed off they came out with a cat. In a perfect world I expect the hounds to stay on the track I put em on but it doesn't always work that way. I've been pretty fortunate not to run real trash maybe with a coyote or two during bear season(knock on wood). I wouldn't trade the b&t for the world, his only downfall is bad feet in the crusty snow, feet get tore up quick, can't run em hard every day but that way my other hounds get a chance to shine.

what kind of kennel floor is he kept on all year? snow sucks because it is sharp and moistens their pads at the same time. could try toughening his pads and moisture proofing during hunting. I've often thought that could be the best method of dealing with the snow

I've tried different products with little success. I think when the snow goes I'm going to try to put granite down to toughen up the pads. His mother is the same way so I've learned to live with it.
