used my folding antenna quite a bit this year. worked really well. stock antenna would lose dogs around .90 miles. screw on extendable antenna and could pick them right back up. even had them out to 2-2.5 miles. my question is when i did screw on folding antenna the arrow would point 30-35 degrees to the left of where the stock 1 said they were. put stock 1 back on and it would point back to where the dogs really were. put the other 1 back on and back to the left it would go. is something wrong with it or is it just a matter of calabrating the compass with the foldable 1 instead of the stock 1? i walk or drive around with the stock 1 and dont change unless i loose dogs for an extended period of time. really dont want to have to calibrate compass everytime i switch. any help?

It's probably just because it's a chunk of Metal out there and Metal affects the compass.

That's just my guess of what your seeing.
