Is there a guy in MI that u guys reccomend not sure which way im gonna go im gonna hunt with a few guys up here that run Blues and Plotts. But my father in law is pretty persitent that i should get a running walker. I know nothing about hounds but im laid off all winter and would love to hunt yotes and bobcats. Any walkers people that i should talk to about getting a pup if i go that route. just trying to do some homework before i make any decisions. thanks Jim

if you plan on hunting cats, i would get some breed of tree hound. that`s just my opinion and i`m sure you`ll here some others.

The best pack of bobcat dogs I ever seen or heard of was full blood running walkers. They put them up fast and treed enough for you to find them. Much more speed than any of the tree hounds. Not all of them will tree though.

it might be worth your while to find a pen nearby that you could watch and listen to the kinds of dogs you would like. You would be welcome to come here to our pen and watch some of the differrent breeds ruin coyote. We are in central michigan near harrison

i have 2 running walkers and they are alot faster than the average treeing hounds. we catch 90% of the yote's we run and i have gone as far as to use just a 22 revolver to hunt with. no use for a rifle. not sure how they would do on cat tho.
