my 220 isnt picking up one of my collars. It comes up with, collar interference, do you want to change-- if I go with yes or no it reads problems connecting to dog unit. the red light blinks with 3 fast blinks. this collar has been used about a dozen times. any info would be greatly appreciated thanks
ps the rest of my collars seem to work fine

The Garmin is trying to tell you that there is another collar that has a similar ID number. Just change the ID number on the collar and you should be good to go.

Just for something to try before calling it dead is trying to add it in again. Go to the "dog list" and select "add new". Then it will ask you if you can touch the collar and select "yes". Make sure the collar is on and touch the two antenna's together. It should select an ID number that isn't already being used and hopefully you will be good to go. Once it connects and says that "dog ?" has been entered, move the curser up and rename the collar to whatever you want. Then select OK.

Let us know what happens.

If the above doesnt work, disconnect the battery on the collar for a half hour, and see if that helps?

Maybe he just needs to be closer. Best to have collar next to you if making changes.

thanks guys I left the batt unpluged today while I was out hunting put it back together and put it back in the system and works fine now. Is this a common problem? Do you lose anything (updates?) when the batt is unpluged? had a good day without the extra collar, maybe the last run of the year. 17+ miles before they caught it.

not trying to be an ass but Steve, do you take me for an idiot? I have a lot of respect of your opinions and help you give people but that comment cut me right down. I guess I thought being close was a given, didnt give much thought in saying it.

ps you"ll still be my goto guy for advice.

Here is a strange note, garmin told Budd denny yesterday, after an update, let them run outside ten minutes, before shutting the collar off??

They said after updating collars to set them outside were they can get good communication with satellites for ten minutes before trying to connect them to the 220.

Didn't mean nothing there Mondo. Just stating the obvious that was not mentioned.
