What do you guys do during bird nesting when we cant hunt. I spend a lot of time trout fishing the cricks after they open usually the third weekend in may. When I have gas a lot of my time is spent just driving roads looking for places to hunt deer and elk, places we've started cats before, and just figuring out where roads that I havent drove before go? What everyone else do? Drinking beer is a given lol

In between cats and bears I spend my time twittling my thumbs and rounding up dogs because they always escape(they cant handle the down time either).

Bass fishing.

I spend time with my kids,fishing and camping stuff like that. They are still too young to hunt so this is good time to get them out in the woods.

while if i was home in oregon not in iraq i would probley be fishing and shooting and just spending time in the woods every chance i got, but since i am over here in iraq i go on mission take pics to post on here so you see what iraq actually looks like and not what the news wants to show you and also read alot of tips about bobcat hunting trying to become and good cat hunter when i get home.

I don't cat hunt but my husband does and I coon hunt. but when we are not hunting our dogs. I spend most of my time yelling at dogs to "shut up"

Aside from filling in all the holes that my bored dogs dig, I like to ride my bike, race, scout for deer and elk, fish, and fix everything I broke over the winter hunting seasons. lol

I don't expect anyone to admit to it, but running your dogs all year long makes for good, and well condition hounds.

Well i get fat, My dogs get fat, My truck stays healthy, and my kennel fills up with shit faster. I admit it would be awesome if we could go out and condition our dogs year around. I dont want to be the poster child for us houndsmen getting a bad rap...... especially with everything going on right now, so honestly i am fighting back the urge to go out every day and i am staying at home. It sucks ass but it is what it is.

wat about privite ranches can i "EXERCISE" my dogs thier?

bitching because it's hot...boy I wish we had a pursuit season, would it be great or what???

Next year let's focus on a pursuit season year round for coon in WA and OR since there is never going to be any biggame season for anyone....What ya think?? Plus we could have summer events and not have to worry about weather conditions to and from...just a thought fellow houndsmen.
