My pups I got from Benny G are doing awesome. Been getting them out hunting a few times a week. I have been lucky enough to have some trainers for them to run and they are really doing well. I used Ozzy and Bella a couple times to get them started, but now they are doing it on their own. Here are some photos from today. Benny your pups are awesome and I can't thank you enough for the 3 I have from you. Bella, Onza and Puma. I am so pleased with them. Thanks again for helping me get a pack of hounds going again. I look forward to hunting with them for years to come. :D

Puma's mother is named Drizzle and sire is Baldy

Onza's mother is named Rouser and sire is Cougar

Benny can tell you the whole lineage behind these dogs. Bella is bred similar to them as well.

I am super happy with them and yes Puma is a little shining gem for sure. :)

Pegleg,
You know Baldy, and all the others involved in these two litters are line bred Hendrix.

Kiel Casey now owns Drizzle (he calls her Elle because he felt sorry for her going through life with a name like that  )

Baldy was raised by Mike Leonard, then went to a Government guy, who I bought him from.

Larry Hendrix's dogs don't need any explanation -- they're just plain good! :beer

So Baldy, is Lilly's greatuncle, on her mother's side.

Thanks guys :) Benny does breed some nice hounds and they have tons of drive to hunt and very athletic, but they have a wierd side to them they must get from only Benny himself. Here is a photo to show what I am talking about.

Puma has that unique eye and coloration that makes me think of my old Poppy dog. Ofcourse Poppy is behind Puma on her Daddy's side being her sire Baldy's grandmother.

Poppy lived to the ripe old age of 14 years and and was active and still treeing lion, bobcat and bear up to her last months. Not sure how many critters she treed in her day but it would certainly number in the hundreds. She was crossed in the famous Big John and produced Rowdy 2 who was Josie's sire. Josie was Baldy's mother and his father was my great old strike dog Gunner. Not much more needs to be said about that cross, other than it worked.
