Looks like you must be a young man full of ingenuity! I hope that thing has low gear, or those dogs are gonna wear down.

I recommend harnesses for the dogs. It looks like it'll work.

If it isn't broke don't fix it... I have found out with harnes that they have a tendency to pull more on the leash. So when u go from harnes from running, to there collar when doin anything else. Its all most trying to make them heal all over again. That thing looks like it would work great if you were next to a road that had a lot of traffic. just make shure of ur dogs limits. Great job kid!

Good job young man. Do it however it works for you and your dogs! Sometimes you need to figure out how to make it work for yourself, and realize that just cause a guy is older, doesn't ALWAYS make him wiser. Hunt hard, and good luck. God Bless you!

be careful. there is always someway something can go wrong young or old Murphy's law still applies. it's a good set up with them in front so you can see them. make sure that there is NO WAY a dog can end up under a tire. I would go with a harness too. experience proves they are safer. more exercise also because they will pull harder as said above. if a dog isn't worked with they will pull on a collar to. this isn't a big issue and most dogs can figure out the difference between being roaded and walking on a leash. is the cross member attached solidly so you can't be clothes-lined with it? My opinion and experience is that long distances at low speed does more for them then a couple miles at higher speeds. type of hounds play a part in picking a speed. I run them about 6-15 mph. for the most part. Although they do have burst of speed at different times.
Looks like your doing good by your hounds and I hope you have a great time running your hounds for many years!
