This is embarressing to ask since im a greenhorn and all but a guy told me my pup is a lipper walk and i have no clue what that means. i know its a type of walker like the treeing walker but what exactly does it mean. what are the differences between the walkers and how can you tell. Any info would be greatly appricated. Thanks Daniel

It means your dog goes back to the Walker hounds "House's Lipper". Just means that your dog is a descendent of that dog..

Correct answer, and good job. Houses Lipper was a bit of a phenomenoi a decade or so ago, but he came by it natural. If you trace back thru his lines these dogs that Joe House bred have been consistant winners in the hunts and performers in the field. We have seen a lot of good big game dogs as well that came from these lines and from old Lipper himself.Just like Clint, and Tom Tom, and Houses's Banjo, Houses's Bawlie and probably as much as any Houses's Cheif one must admit a pretty good line of hounds.

I know at one time Joe House, James Merchant, and and John Monroe dominated the treeing walker breed and you still see that old blood in the walkers going down the road today.Ofcourse guys like Raymond Motely, and Lester Nance and others pre-dated them to the very starting ground of the walker breed, but it has been an interesting walk from one tree to another........
