What's the most bears treeed in one year? Can't run them in oregon.

Are you asking about some sort of record, or just the most in a given year by guys in certain areas?

Also, there is a difference between "bears in trees" and "bear trees" . Not to mention that reruns don't count. I'm assuming you want "bear trees" because only rookies count sows/cubs or sows/yearling in the same tree as multiple catches.

Last year 32 trees, 65 for the group.
Best year since I started keeping track 40 trees, 110 for the group.

42 different bears last year. 34 on my own and another 8 with a friend.

My best year was 2009 with 71 trees.No reruns.Last year was 58 trees.I only hunt by myself for the most part but I think I had company on 3 of those bears in 2010.I have a good friend that I try and get to go hunt with me but he says that is "too many chefs in the kitchen"

About 40 last year.

the last year it was leagal in oregon turned loose on 63 caught 59.

yup put a bear up a tree , went back to the truck snorted some coke drank some shine took me couple hours cause i was so (beep) up couldn't remember the direction had came from put up the same bear.

That's alot of bears cought! You guys have some bad ass dogs.thanks for the info.

From 2003 spring to '04 spring I treed, denned or bayed solid with an easy kill shot, 107 bears. Mommas with cubs or pairs counted as 1. I never killed any, either. I went to every tree and 90% of the time was by myself. I kept track on a calendar everytime I got home from a hunt. I hunted a lot. I know people who catch more than that and people who don't catch that many that would if they could hunt more. I think if a person can catch 30 bear with their own dogs year after year, they are doing fine.

Cobalt, would that be in one calender year running spring and fall or both spring seasons. That is a big number to put up for any one. I would have to tree 2 a day to tree that many in the spring, but man my 4 dogs would be in shape.

That was 1 year (spring thru fall season). First bear treed March 19 and the last was treed Jan. 7. I didn't explain that well, sorry. That was my best year and I was shooting for that to be my best year. I also caught 37 bobcat, 16 lion and a pile of coon. I don't keep accurate data on numbers caught for the most part. I've had about 15 other years where I've caught between 50 and 100 bear. I think those days are over for me. Some people waste their lives being ski bumms, I was a hound bumm for about 20 years. Now I'm married with 2 small kids and they take precedence.
