May 2011 I made a trip up to hunt with John Lastockin and to leave my Gus female there to be bred to his old Joe dog. I had a blast even though the all the snow had not yet melted we and some of the roads were still blocked. we still got after some bear. My Gus female is just a coondog and has been for 8 yrs. she had been run on and treed 4or 5 bears in west virginia which doesn't make her a bear dog but she still can tree one in B.C. too. She is a White Cloud female with a touch of nance in her. From what I saw Joe and his offspring are top hounds in my book they are top notch game catchers Joe is also a white cloud bred hound that came from Roger Hollands dogs. John is truly in it for the dogs was fun to hunt with. I have high hopes for this cross and I think my little coondog even surprised John. I am hoping to figure out how to post pictures on here so I hope you enjoy them.

Thats intersesting, the only White Cloud/Nance i ever hunted with was a good cat dog but a sorry excuse of a bear dog. He looked good until he met a mean bear then he couldn't get back to the truck fast enough. I am glad you had fun.

Hillbilly, I did have fun and my white cloud / nance dog caught up to one of those furry animals and she stayed right at it. I guess if you have one bad apple you throw the basket away and never have another apple. we all know that to acheive greatness each and every litter and every pup would make me a genius but I must admit I am far from that. but I really don't see anyone stepping up on that podium. And if someone wants to step up and announce to the world he is the go to guy I am sure I will have a look and see with an open mind because the only flag I carry is to have the best I can afford and if the guy that stands up and says he has perfection down to a T steps forword I am sure he will have more sales than he can handle. and I will be the first one in line to be schooled on how it was done I believe it's what we all want to have the best I love all the things a hound represents but have had my heart broken more than not because things didn't work I didn't quit I tried to figure out what went wrong and correct it and probally will die with a broken heart and a broken bank but I still love to hear a hound that made good and as his voice echoes to my ears a smile will be on my face and if I die with it there then I guess life could be worse.
