I camped a few days up between pine and featherville over the fourth of july. Put a hundred and thirty miles on my four wheeler in two days. Looks like some good bear country. Any body hunt that range? How hard would it be to get an out of state pursuit tag for that area or any part of Idaho for that matter. Let me know, thanks. Riley.

Riley,
A hound permit for non resident in Idaho is a draw only ,and I think only 75 permits.
It is like winning the lottery to get it from what I understand, but you cant win it if you dont put in for it!
Good luck!!!

I put in for the non-res hound permit and drew it my first try. Went up during pursuit season and had a great time. Hopefully will make it back again this fall. definetly worth a try, but i think i put in for it in december for the following year.

from what I am hearing it is gettin easy to draw out of state hound permit serval guys from nevada have gotten it for several yrs in a row think that most dont try and they assume it is impossible to draw so they dont waste the money. There is a few bears in that area and some wolves up high not hunted as much as other areas closer to town
